Business Analysis Track

Over the past several years, the need for business analysts in many companies has increased dramatically. While the job of business analyst has been around for decades, it was usually conducted by professionals who were systems analysts, project managers or subject matter specialists; however, the skills employed by these professionals did not quite match industry standards. Business analysts understand business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. To help address the rapidly-growing industry need for business analysts, the Rawls College of Business is implementing a Business Analysis Track for students majoring in Management Information Systems.
